Mr. Ahto Saks, Administrative Director at the Chancellery of the Riigikogu (Parliament) introduces HANS, the new AI support tool for Estonian lawmakers.
HANS is a new information system for transcribing the plenary sessions of the Parliament. It will replace the current obsolete and depreciated software in the 2020.
It makes us extremely proud to be part of this exciting journey of being partner for Riigikogu Kantselei to create HANS together with TalTech and to pursue new opportunities that speech recognition enables. We know that it is challenging to all participants that creating something that has never been done before and exactly this makes us proud of people who constantly find ways to solve challenges ahead.

The Riigikogu is the parliament of Estonia. Its 101 members are elected at general elections for a term of four years. The Riigikogu passes laws and resolutions, exercises parliamentary supervision and ratifies international agreements.
The Chancellery of the Riigikogu provides the conditions that enable the Riigikogu to perform its constitutional functions. It involves advising the Riigikogu, its members and working bodies, providing all necessary services to the Riigikogu and managing its internal communication and foreign relations, and also serving the National Electoral Committee, etc.
